TEACHING ASSISTANTS

Start date: September 2023

27 hours 30 mins per week, term time only 

 

Support grade C3 £20,812 fte pro rata (actual starting salary £12,969.64)

Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality learning for all children a,nd wishes to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants. The post is for 27 hours 30 mins per week (Mon - Fri 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00).  

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have experience of working with groups of children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2;
  • Be able to support pupils to access the curriculum within a mainstream class;
  • Be expected to deliver intervention programmes to groups of children. 
  • Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children;
  • Have an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job;
  • Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative;
  • Be patient and able to stay calm and listen and value children’s views;
  • Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development;
  • Have the ability to strictly maintain confidentiality;
  • Be suitably qualified for the post of Teaching Assistant i.e. to have good basic literacy and numeracy skills (to GCSE level or above) and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Have experience of some behaviour management techniques.

STAR CLUB

Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality child care for all children who attend Star Club (before and after school provision) and wishes to appoint:  

Before and/or After School Club Assistants  

The role will entail between 3 and 5 shifts per week (Monday - Friday).  

The morning shift is  6:45am to 8:30am, afternoon shift 2:45pm to 6.15pm. 

The exact number of shifts/hours per week are to be confirmed.

In addition, some ad hoc hours are likely to be available.

Start date: 5th September 2023

 

Holiday Club Assistants

The role will entail holiday clubs during half terms and school holidays. These will take place for October half term, February Half Term, Easter Holidays and Summer Holidays. 

The day shifts are 8:30-4:30pm 

 

Salary: SLT support grade 4 £18,337 - £19,855 fte pro rata 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have experience of delivering imaginative and innovative activities to children;
  • Be expected to ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating play environment;
  • Assist in the administration of the club, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented;
  • Prepare and serve meals;
  • Supervise mealtimes;
  • Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between their classrooms and the club;
  • Ensure that areas are clean and cleared at the end of sessions;
  • Communicate and liaise with parents;
  • Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children;

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES


Warden Park Secondary Academy has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to work with a range of learners who have a learning/additional support need and require a reader/scribe during examinations and to support assessment work. Full training to provide this support to their learners will be provided.

Volunteers should have a good academic ability, preferably with previous experience working with young people or within education, and appreciate the importance of confidentiality.

Volunteers will be asked to complete and return a Warden Park Support Staff application form available on our website (www.wardenpark.co.uk) and also provide the names and full contact details (including email addresses) of two professional referees. All successful volunteers will also be subject to a Health Assessment.
